RETROSTAR - Boltz Engineer Areden Pettibone (TV)

I created this artwork for Spectrum Games' new retro-70s sci-fi role-playing game RETROSTAR.  This scene depicts Boltz Engineer Areden Pettibone (a character created by my brother, Al Sprecher) in a chapter scene titled "Hiding from Hostile Aliens."

The directive I was given was to make the aliens look like the Creature from the Black Lagoon to show how old '70s shows often reused props or costumes from other shows or movies to save money.  I felt the "face" of the CFBL was too distinctive so I kept the body suit but removed the face mask and added fin fringes for "hair" and tunics.  The scenery/background were supposed to be super minimal, in keeping with low-budget TV sets of the '70s.
